A cheetah presentation at the school of Steveys nieces in Lisnaskea. It was amazing to see how interested these kids were and how much they already knew. I hope to do that again soon.
Eine Praesentation ueber den Gepard in der Schule von Steveys Nichten in Lisnaskea. Es war beeindruckend zu sehen wie interessiert die Kinder waren und wie viel sie wussten. Ich hoffe das bald zu wiederholen.

AYERS ROCK or ULURU

This is a sacred place for the Aboriginals. For them it is a kind of god and you shall respect it. They don't like it if you want to climb the rock but it is unfortunatly still allowed allthough more then 30 people died trying to get to the top. It can be very slippery, windy and cold up there. While we were there the climb up was prohibited because of the rain but 2 tourists didn't want to listen and all we know is that they still didn't come back down the day after.
Walking around you see signs on different spots where it is not allowed to take a photograph because it has spiritual meaning for the aboriginal people.
When you walk beside that rocks in the heart of Australia you can feel why it is a holy place.
Dies ist ein heiliger Ort fuer die Aboriginies. Fuer sie ist es eine Art Gottheit und man sollte dies respektieren. Sie wollen nicht, dass man den Felsen besteigt aber leider ist es noch immer erlaubt obwohl mehr als 30 Menschen ums Leben gekommen sind bei dem Versuch Uluru zu besteigen. Es kann sehr rutschig, windig und kalt dort oben sein. Als wir dort waren war der Austieg wegen des Regens verboten aber 2 Touristen sind trotzdem hoch und alles was wir wissen ist, dass sie am naechsten Tag noch immer nicht wieder unten waren.
Beim drumherumlaufen kann man einige Schilder an verschiedenen Stellen sehen wo das fotographieren verboten ist weil es eine spirituelle Bedeutung fuer die Ureinwohner hat.
Wenn man entlang dieser Felsen im Herzen Australiens laeuft kann man spueren warum dies ein geweihter Ort ist.

Waterfalls in the desert. That happens once a year so we were really lucky to get wet.
Wasserfaelle in der Wueste. Dies passiert einmal im Jahr, also hatten wir echt glueck nass zu werden.

Our last weeks in Kalbarri

Nach mehr als 5 Monaten ist die Zeit in Kalbarri fuer Stevey und mich vorbei. Es ist schoen zu wissen, dass wir endlich reisen koennen, aber so traurig sich zu verabschieden. Es ist ein wenig wie von zuhause und der Familie wegzugehen. Hier sind die schoensten Bilder der letzten Wochen.

After more then 5 month is our time in Kalbarri over. It is good to know that we can travel now but so sad to say goodbye. It is a bit like going away from the hometown and the family. Here are some of the nicest pictures of the last weeks.
